Community Outreach

EXCEED employees volunteer to serve community and charitable organizations locally. From corporate donations to individual volunteering efforts, we value the importance of building a better community. EXCEED understands that a commitment to good corporate citizenship is a fundamental part of achieving sustained value for both the company and society at large. We know that communities are made stronger by people working together, and at EXCEED, we work together to support charitable organizations that make a difference in our communities.

Over the course of 2011, we completed nine community service projects and supported 10 organizations to include:

We Are Family – Senior citizens grocery deliveries (participated twice!)
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) – Walk for Diabetes
Soles4Souls – Shoe drive
Children’s National Medical Center – Hosted an arts and crafts event
One Warm Coat – Coat drive
Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless – Recipient of the coat drive
International Rescue Committee – Recipient of the coat drive
Maryland Food Bank – Food drive
Toys for Tots (corporate office) – Toy drive
Job Corps Groundhog Job Shadow Day (corporate office) – Youth mentoring

Together, EXCEED staff clocked in 350 volunteer hours, donated 400 pairs of shoes, 40 coats, 178 pounds of food, and a very large box full of toys to those in need.
